Liberty Hall stands at the center of the American Revolution and home to governors, congressmen, senators, assembly persons, philanthropists, and entrepreneurs. Its plush gardens have spurred civic change and social innovation for centuries. Inhabited by William Livingston, New Jersey’s first elected governor and a signer of the United States Constitution, the 14-room Georgian-style home evolved over time into a 50-room Victorian mansion. Museum educators dressed in period clothes will guide students on a time travel adventure through six different generations:
1780s; 1820s; 1860s; 1900s; 1940s; and 1980s
Through artifacts, reproductions, and hands-on activities, students will explore how life has changed for children at Liberty Hall by comparing lighting, transportation, communication, technology, clothing, music, and toys.

Lunch space is available, so please bring a bagged lunch.
The Museum at Liberty Hall is part of the Passport to Your National Parks program. When you visit, bring your passport and get it stamped!
Liberty Hall walkways are gravel, and the mansion is not ADA-compliant at this time, though it is being addressed.
Time for lunch and gift shop are built into this trip.
